A Whole World to Explore
Each month, children explore a different ecosystem. They encounter extraordinary species and habitats, investigate real science, and bring their ideas to life through writing and imaginative activities.
The Workshop with its linked experiment, craft and recipe bring ideas alive in their hands, and the Nature Connection guide shows them how to see the principles they have learnt in their back yard.
Each part builds on the last, helping children make connections, weigh up evidence and deepen their understanding.
With 36 original adventures across three years, there is always more to discover.

Choose Membership and let us know within 30 days of receiving your first pack. We’ll stop your remaining payments. Editions already supplied or dispatched aren’t refunded under this additional promise. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
When will it arrive?

What age group is Curiosity Club designed for?
🔬 Curiosity Club: Ages 8–12
Written for children ready to explore science in greater depth and with increasing independence. Concepts are explained carefully, experiments invite close observation and reflection, and crafts are more technically challenging. Not every section needs to be completed, some ideas stretch thinking gently and can be revisited as understanding grows.
Activities are designed to be screen-free and mostly child-led, with occasional prompts where adult support is helpful, especially for cooking, craft tools, or outdoor experiments.
We have a Curiosity Companion for younger children called Curiosity Crew.
A note about seven-year-olds
Seven is often a transition year. Some children thrive in the story-rich exploration of Crew; others feel ready for the independence and depth of Club. Reading confidence, temperament and learning style matter more than age alone. If you're unsure, we're always happy to help you choose.
🌿 Curiosity Crew: Ages 4–7
Designed for early learners, when curiosity is expressed through movement, story and hands-on exploration. Stories, experiments and creative projects can be enjoyed with adult support, while older children within the range often begin engaging more independently. Works especially well for families who value shared learning and flexible pacing.
Do you have sibling discounts?
When you add two or more subscriptions to the same address, you’ll automatically receive 10% off your total at checkout, and this applies to all recurring fees too.
The sibling discount applies to any combination of our subscriptions, whether that’s two Curiosity Crew boxes, or one Club and one Crew.
It’s a simple way to make sure siblings can explore together, and everyone feels part of the adventure.

Can we join for a set number of adventures?
Of course. If you would like a particular number, or you are buying a gift, just get in touch and we’ll arrange it.
To send it as a gift, simply enter the recipient’s name and address at checkout. You can also add a message in the 'Is this a gift?' box in the cart. We’ll handwrite your note onto a keepsake card and tuck it into their first box...a beautiful way to begin their journey.
Can we switch between Crew and Club?
Yes. Just get in touch and we’ll arrange for your child to switch future adventures.
Will we receive the same adventure twice?
No. There are 36 different Club adventures, so your child can explore with us for three years without receiving the same one twice.
Can we buy past adventures?
Yes. Adventures from the previous six months are available while stocks last.
Need to take a break?
No problem at all. Members can request a pause, usually for one to three months. Your membership will resume automatically on the date agreed.
Can I cancel if needed?
Month-by-month subscribers can cancel at any time through your customer portal. or by sending an email to care@arcanaliving.com

Designed With Care
Between us, we have spent years exploring, researching and communicating about the natural world. Ria has a PhD in behavioural neuroscience from the University of Cambridge and is an illustrator, designer, photographer and science communicator. Jake has a PhD in ecology from Cambridge and is the director of an Environmental Research Institute, with a background in science outreach and communication.
Curiosity Companions is where all of that comes together: our obsession with understanding how nature works and our enthusiasm for making beautiful things.
We pour a great deal of ourselves into every edition, thinking carefully about the science we share and how one discovery leads to the next. We write the narrative, create and test the activities with our children, illustrate every image and bring it all together into the adventure you receive.
We don’t think the natural world needs to be oversimplified for children. We think they deserve to be fascinated by it.
