A monthly world of nature, story, and science for curious 8–12 year olds.

Curiosity Club
Curiosity Club is a monthly nature subscription for curious 8–12 year olds, designed to build a real and lasting understanding of how the natural world works.
Each month, one habitat: explored in depth through beautifully illustrated guides, hands-on investigations, and creative making. Children begin to see how nature connects, from the wildlife on their doorstep to the wider natural world.
From tidal coastlines to polar seas, each edition blends story-led science with simple materials you likely already have at home, building knowledge and confidence through real exploration.
Plans start at £16.50 for your first edition, with free UK tracked shipping included.
Screen-free. Curious. Full of wonder.

How Each Month Unfolds
Across the year, we journey through twelve biomes, from frozen tundra to tropical rainforest, from open ocean to grassland.
Each month, one ecosystem becomes our focus. Four questions shape everything inside each edition:
What is this place? What defines it, shapes it, and makes it unlike anywhere else.
How does it work? The processes and patterns that bring it to life, from animal behaviour to the physics and chemistry that sit beneath it.
Who reveals this best? Not everything, but an important few. The animals, plants and interactions that make the whole system visible.
And then, threaded through it all: Where does this appear in your own world? Because the moment a child recognises something they have learned, outside, in the wild, in an ordinary patch of ground, it becomes theirs for life.

Can I give this as a gift?
Yes! Curiosity Club makes a thoughtful and memorable gift for curious children who love nature, science, and stories.
If you’d like to gift a subscription for a set time period (like 3, 6, or 12 months) without it renewing, just email me at care@arcanaliving.com and I’ll set it up for you.
To send a gift through the website, simply enter the recipient’s name and address at checkout. You can also add a message in the 'Is this a gift?' box in the cart. We’ll handwrite your note onto a keepsake card and tuck it into their first box...a beautiful way to begin their journey.
Do you have sibling discounts?
Learning is even more fun when shared. When you add two or more subscriptions to the same address, you’ll automatically receive 10% off your total at checkout, and this applies to all recurring fees too.
It’s a simple way to make sure siblings can explore together, and everyone feels part of the adventure.
The sibling discount applies to any combination of our subscriptions, whether that’s two Curiosity Club boxes, or one Club and one Crew.
Please note: this offer can’t be combined with other discount codes.
How does billing and delivery work?
When will I be charged, and what will I receive?
That depends on when in the month you join:
Join in the first two weeks (1st–14th):
- You’ll pay immediately for this month’s edition, which will be posted to you right away. While stocks last. If we have sold out, you will be joining for next month's edition. This will be clear on the sales page.
- You’ll then be charged again on the 25th to reserve your next box.
- From then on, renewals are charged on the 15th of each month.
Join in the second two weeks (15th–end of month):
- You’re securing your place for next month’s edition.
- You’ll pay at checkout, and your first box will arrive in the first week of the following month.
- From then on, renewals are charged on the 15th of each month.
What subscription options do you offer?
We offer three plans:
3-month minimum
6-month minimum
12-month minimum
All plans are billed monthly and renew automatically. The difference lies in your commitment and the longer you stay, the more you save per box.
✨ Your first payment is always taken at checkout. From then on, renewals are charged on the 15th of each month, with a one-off earlier charge on the 25th if you joined in the first two weeks.
You can pause your subscription for one month at any time via your account. Cancellations can be made any time after your chosen commitment has been fulfilled.
🌿 Your price is locked in
The price you pay when you sign up is guaranteed for the duration of your plan, even if prices increase later.

You can explore our Archive Boxes, which feature complete past adventures available to purchase individually, a perfect way to try Curiosity Club before subscribing.
Can I pause or cancel my subscription?
Yes. We know life can be unpredictable, so we’ve made it easy to pause or cancel in line with the subscription you’ve chosen.
You can manage everything through your customer portal, including pausing your subscription for one month at a time, whenever you need to.
Here’s how cancellation works:
- 3-month plan – cancel anytime after your third box
- 6-month plan – cancel anytime after your sixth box
- 12-month plan – cancel anytime after your twelfth box
Your subscription renews automatically each month and continues after your initial commitment, unless you cancel.
🛡️ Your rate is protected:
The price you signed up at will remain the same for the duration of your subscription. If you cancel and rejoin later, your new subscription will follow the current rates at the time of rejoining.
If you have any questions or would prefer to speak to a human, feel free to email me directly at care@arcanaliving.com. I’ll be happy to help.
What age group is Curiosity Club designed for?
🔬 Curiosity Club: Ages 8–12
Written for children ready to explore science in greater depth and with increasing independence. Concepts are explained carefully, experiments invite close observation and reflection, and crafts are more technically challenging. Not every section needs to be completed, some ideas stretch thinking gently and can be revisited as understanding grows.
Activities are designed to be screen-free and mostly child-led, with occasional prompts where adult support is helpful, especially for cooking, craft tools, or outdoor experiments.
We have a Curiosity Companion for younger children called Curiosity Crew.
A note about seven-year-olds
Seven is often a transition year. Some children thrive in the story-rich exploration of Crew; others feel ready for the independence and depth of Club. Reading confidence, temperament and learning style matter more than age alone. If you're unsure, we're always happy to help you choose.
🌿 Curiosity Crew: Ages 4–7
Designed for early learners, when curiosity is expressed through movement, story and hands-on exploration. Stories, experiments and creative projects can be enjoyed with adult support, while older children within the range often begin engaging more independently. Works especially well for families who value shared learning and flexible pacing.

SCIENCE THROUGH STORY
The Discovery Guide and Illustrated Poster
The Discovery Guide is the intellectual heart of the box, a beautifully illustrated journey through one habitat, told through story-led science. Each spread follows a single idea, building understanding through narrative so that knowledge feels discovered rather than delivered. Children meet a carefully chosen cast of creatures and begin to see how everything in the habitat connects.
The double-sided poster is its visual companion: one side shows the ecosystem as a whole, the other introduces the key species or concepts. The guide gives depth; the poster holds the picture in place, something to return to, often noticing more each time.
MAKE AND DISCOVER
The Curiosity Workshop
The Curiosity Workshop brings the month's ideas off the page and into the hands. Three connected projects, an experiment, a craft, and a seasonal recipe, each rooted in the science of the month, with enough explanation to understand what's happening and why, not just how to do it. This is where understanding becomes physical, where a child who has read about a concept gets to feel it working.
STEP OUTSIDE
The 'Your Wild' Guide
This is where everything opens outward. The 'Your Wild' Guide connects the month's habitat to what can be found close to home, showing children where to look, what to notice, and how to recognise the same patterns in different places. A meadow can exist in a patch of long grass. A forest ecosystem can begin under a single rotting log. This is often where something shifts, when a child begins to recognise outside what they have only read about before.
COLLECT AND PLAY
Curio Keep Game, Embroidered Emblem of Exploration, Decorative Stickers and Mantra Colouring Card
Each edition adds a small, lasting layer to something that builds over time.
Curio Keep is our very own cooperative card game that is both stand-alone each month and builds into something bigger as the collection expands. Three animal cards and a trail card introduce the month's creatures and invite further exploration.
The stunning embroidered Emblem of Exploration marks the edition, a creature your child has come to know.
A sheet of illustrated stickers, featuring the animals and plants met in this edition, is there for decorating nature notes as they work through the content.
The Mantra Colouring Card, developed for mindful colouring and carrying a single line connected to the month's theme, is there for quieter moments, building confidence and thoughtfulness alongside everything else.
FOR PARENTS
The Parents Guide
A short, thoughtful companion to help you step into the experience alongside your child. It offers just enough, the ideas behind the month, gentle talking points, and context where useful, without requiring you to read everything before your child does. So you can begin simply, and follow their curiosity as it unfolds.
YOUR FIRST ADVENTURE
Your first Curiosity Club adventure includes a few additional pieces to set the rhythm:
- A Field Journal Workbook to start nature observations.
- The Curio Codex, which introduces the card game and how it grows over time.
- A welcome note from our family to yours to begin the journey.

Designed With Care
Each edition is carefully developed, from first idea to final print.
