In collaboration with the Botanical Society of Britain and Ireland
What we choose to notice, we’re more likely to protect.
The latest Red List of vascular plants in Great Britain is due to be published in late autumn, a quietly monumental document. It records which of our native wild plants are holding on, which are in trouble, and which we may be losing altogether.
Timed with its release, we’re sharing something we’ve been working on quietly for many months, a special woven blanket collection, created in collaboration with the Botanical Society of Britain and Ireland (BSBI), the UK and Ireland’s leading botanical charity.
Each of the three blanket designs in this limited collection features five rare or threatened wildflowers, chosen with BSBI’s expertise to reflect some of the most ecologically significant and precarious species across our islands.
From alpine gentians clinging to high mountain ledges to the ghostly fen violet, which may bloom again only after years of hidden dormancy, these plants tell stories of resilience, loss, habitat change, and hope.

The Three Designs: Threads of Fragile Flora
Each blanket is a woven tribute to one threatened ecosystem:
Alpine Survivors: For the high slopes, the short seasons, the wind-battered ledges.
This design features five mountain specialists: Alpine Gentian, Alpine Forget-me-not, Spring Gentian, English Sandwort, and Alpine Blue-sow-thistle — all adapted to extremes, yet deeply vulnerable to a warming world.
Whispers of Wetlands: A design for damp woodlands, marshes, and misty fens, where stillness hides life.
Here you’ll find: Grass of Parnassus, Fen Violet, Milk Parsley, Narrow-leaved Helleborine, and Lesser Butterfly Orchid
Meadows & Margins: A tribute to the plants once scattered through traditional farmland, hayfields, and arable edges:
These are remnants of a countryside shaped by slower, seasonal farming: Pheasant’s-eye, Field Gentian, Harebell, Prickly Poppy, and Rampion Bellflower.
This design is available in 'Morning Green' and 'Sunset Pink'

Why Pre-order Woven Blankets?
This collection is only available by pre-order, for a reason. We weave each blanket to order, using recycled cotton on jacquard looms in small batches. This slow, intentional method means we only make what is needed, reducing waste, avoiding overproduction, and respecting the seasonal rhythm of craft and ecology alike.
It’s a model that mirrors the stories these plants tell: That care and patience are part of survival.

Our BSBI x Arcana Collaboration
For 185 years, the Botanical Society of Britain and Ireland has promoted the study, understanding and enjoyment of wild plants. With over 60 million plant records and counting, BSBI is one of the world’s largest contributors to biological data, using science to shape the future of nature conservation.
This collaboration honours that mission in a new way: a woven record, made not only to warm, but to remind.
This is a woven invitation,to notice what still grows around us,to remember what we’ve almost lost, and to reconnect with the living landscapes we call home.
