The summer garden, overflowing with colour and scent, full of flowers designed to attract insect visitors. The alliance between insects and plants is as old as the first flowering plants, some 130 million years ago. This blanket celebrates the ancient relationship between insects and plants, co-evolved to survive and thrive.
In a soft antique rose base with subtle coloured flowers and insects, the reverse is a soft blue green.
Our blankets are created to love, to keep, to hand down and to become part of your very own family fabric. They are the thread that connects you with nature.
Every blanket comes with a printed Nature Connection Guide, that tells you more about the species featured.

How you can use your blanket
This size works wonderfully as a shoulder wrap, chair or table throw, or for your wild wanders, light enough to carry anywhere. Arcana blankets are, in fact, woven soft tapestries, making them highly versatile. They can be used as a decorative throw, a snuggly blanket, as tapestry art hung as the wall, or even as a picnic blanket. As they are machine washable, you can be confident you can keep them looking glorious for years to come. And because they are so finely woven, they are also reversible, showing the design in different complementary colours on the back.
What they are made from
Our blankets are woven from 75% recycled cotton, 20% spun cotton and 5% polyester that is required in the recycled cotton portion to retain its strength.
All the colours you see are woven from just six colours of threads, which can be seen in the 1.5 inch fringing on the edge. Two edges show the colours, two show black and white threads.
Each soft tapestry blanket contains over 8 miles of yarn. Because the blankets are woven, every one is reversible, showing different colours on the back.
From cosying up with a book to lying on the beach, you can use your blanket everywhere at any time of year, as the lightweight nature of the fabric allows amazing versatility.
Natural and woven fabrics and beautiful and unlike anything else. Due to their nature some minor imperfections may be present but we think this only adds to their charm.
Our blankets are woven with love by a small family business in North Carolina.
SIZE
This blanket is our little (or 'wrap') size, which is approximately 137cm x 101cm (54”x40”). The exact dimensions of each design might vary slightly from the above, due to the difference in the density of weave of different colours.

Pollination Wrap Blanket
I adore this blanket! It is really beautiful, full of wonderful illustrations of flowers, bees and butterflies on a colour base which I find very calming. As Ria says, it is perfect for throwing it round your shoulders which is what I do when I go for a stroll round my garden late in the evening. A lovely gift my husband bought for me!
Truely beautiful. The attention to detail is amazing. And I love the whole story behind the blanket and the beautiful booklet that came with it. A gorgeous concept, and an heirloom piece in the making. Fabulous customer service from Ria too
The blanket arrived beautifully packaged in eco friendly paper, and is even lovelier than I imagined. The colours are gorgeous, and the flowers and butterflies are beautiful. There is so much to look at, and the blanket is a nice weight with a pretty fringe. It looks fabulous on the back of a chair in my studio and I shall use it often. I loved the interesting booklet about pollination which came with it too. What a nice touch. Thank you Ria!
